<p>KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our <a href="https://www.kpmgspectrum.com/content/Spectrum/en/HomeSpectrum.html?Location=us" target="_blank">KPMG Spectrum</a> practice.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Manage and monitor all maintenance tasks including index rebuild/reorg, update statistics, shrink databases, clean up history, installation, configuration, upgrades, tuning, monitoring and security related to all DB environments and security configuration of DB services</li><li>Support both IaaS, PaaS and DBaaS cloud-based DB environment, backup\recovery of on-prem and Cloud databases, high availability of DB services, capacity management based on the growth pattern of the database, deployments to production environments and assist with runbook creation for deployment tasks</li><li>Provide technical expertise for identify performance issues, analyzing execution plans, query optimization improvements, troubleshooting high CPU/Memory utilization</li><li>Configure SQL Server monitoring and alerts to help managing databases including custom alters to monitor data growth or performance, query blocking, long running queries</li><li>Build and perform complex queries for generating custom reports on ad-hoc request from users, ETL related tasks</li><li>Integrate with existing ITSM solution handling change management, problem management, incident management, sprint planning, task management and other related process</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Minimum five years of recent experience working in a Database Administrator role</li><li>Bachelors degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent work experience</li><li>Experience with Azure SQ, CosmosDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle DB and Cassandra, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, Data Warehousing and ETL solutions, Azure Data Factory, DB related security concepts and Database development</li><li>Strong problem-solving and technical skills with a demonstrated experience working within an operational role</li><li>Ability to collaborate &amp; influence ? establishes credibility and earns respect with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders including senior executives, functional representatives and vendors / consulting partners</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work effectively and possess strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills</li><li>Ability to travel as necessary</li><li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future</li></ul>
